The Good

The Bad

  • Google has removed the AI-driven ad “Dear Sydney” from the Paris Olympics as it received criticism and backlash for being tone-deaf. The ad features a dad asking Google’s Gemini AI service to write a letter from his daughter to Olympic runner Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone. Many seem to question the role of AI and are skeptical about it replacing the act of writing a heartfelt letter which should be meaningful.
